Mr. Rolland George Martin

Obituary:

Mr. Rolland George Martin, age 85, of Bracey, died Thursday January 3, 2019. He was a retired Master Sargeant for the United State Army and served in both the Korean and Vietnam Wars he was also an officer in the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Martin was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Barrett Martin. Mr. Martin is survived by his wife, Patricia Lynn Martin of Bracey; his four daughters: Angie Baker and her husband Bruce of Wilson, NC, Erika Billera and her husband Jim of Pinellas Park, FL, Michelle Hahn and her husband Buck of Waynesville, OH and Marcia Billera and her husband John of Largo, FL; his son, Rodney Martin and his wife Kim of Wilson, NC; ten grandchildren: Jason Gunnin, Meghan Parvis, Brandie Franzolino, Tyler Hahn, Garrett Hahn, Rusty Martin, Chris Martin, Lauren Martin, Richard Krueger and Brenden Krueger; seven great-grandchildren; a step-daughter, Ellen Marie Rago and her husband Joe of Midlothian, VA; two step sons: Keith A. Corbett and his wife Amy of South Carolina and Timothy F. Corbett and his wife Kristi of Coatsville, PA; seven step-grandchildren and 2 step-great grandchildren. A celebration of life service will be held on Tuesday January 8th at 11:00 A.M. in the St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Ebony, VA with full American Legion Post 79 Military Honors. A private inurnment will take place at the Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Wilson, N.C. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church at 31 Ebony Road, Ebony, VA 23845 or to the American Legion Honor Guard at P.O. Box 562, South Hill, VA 23970.
