Obituary:

Mrs. JoAnne Bennett Carroll, age 78, of La Crosse, died Monday January 28, 2019 in her home. She was a retired weaver for Brodnax Mills and the widow of Otis Grady Carroll. Mrs. Carroll is survived by her three children: Vicky Carroll of South Hill, Otis Keith “Broman” Carroll of La Crosse and Sophie Carroll of South Hill; two sisters: Edith Mae Bennett of Raleigh, NC and Ruby Lee Hobbs of South Carolina; her brother, Wayne Thomas Bennett and his wife Nell of Roanoke Rapids, NC; her special granddaughter, Lisa M. Mulchi of La Crosse; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Mrs. Carroll was predeceased by three sisters: Geraldine Bennett, Eleanora B. Clary and Katie B. Conner. A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday February 2nd at 2:00 P.M. in Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home and Crematory with interment to follow in the original Pleasant Hill Christian Church Cemetery in Gasburg. The family will receive friends starting at 1:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home. Online condolences may be sent through our website, www.crowderhitecrews.com.
