Mr. George William Clark

Obituary:

Mr. George William Clark, age 75 of South Hill died Wednesday 27 th of February 2019. He was
preceded in death by his parents Richard and Wilma Clark, three brothers Richard Jr., Paul, and Hugh
Clark, one sister Luvenia Howell and one great grandchild Kaisleigh Clark. He was the owner-operator of Southside Mobile Home Service for over 40 years alongside his wife. After retirement, he was a passionate gardener throughout all the seasons, raising large amounts of fresh vegetables and sharing with all of his neighbors. He was also an avid fishermen and hunter. He was a member of Meherrin River Hunt Club. An active member serving as a deacon of Bethany Baptist Church.George is survived by his wife Frances of 50 plus years. His son Carter (Jennie) and his children Jennifer Newcomb (Jason), William Clark (CJ), Abbygail Russell, Ashley Russell, Haley and Matthew Clark.Son Mack Clark (Wendy) and his children Leslie and Charlotte Clark,Rebecca Cliborne (Vince). Three great grandchildren Rachel and Charlotte Newcomb and Grayson Clark. Two sisters, Jean DeJarenette of Red Oak, VA and Juanita Carter of Yuma, AZ. Funeral services - Monday March 4 th 2019 at Bethany Baptist Church at 11 a.m. followed by visitation and fellowship. Services conducted by Rev. Ronnie Campbell. The family requests memorial contributions be made to Bethany Baptist Church,

  1. Having known George and Mrs.Clark as a customer of mine for over 44 years I can say without a doubt That he was the person who was the true salt of the earth. I was a kid running a business but he always treated me with professionalism which I appreciated then and as time moved on.Mrs. Clark, Carter, and Mac you are all in my thoughts and prayers.
