Mr. Paul Jackson "Jack" Winstead

Mr. Paul Jackson “Jack” Winstead, age 81 of Brodnax, died Tuesday, October 10, 2017 in the VCU/Community Memorial Hospital.
He was the retired owner/operator of the former Hudson’s Texaco in South Hill.
“Jack” is survived by his wife of sixty-two years, Katherine Thomas Winstead; four daughters: Becky Justus (Ricky) of Brodnax, Sheila Davis (Jr.), Jeannie Davis and Amy Chapman (Keith) all of South Hill; a son John Winstead also of Brodnax; three brothers: James Winstead of LaCrosse, Dickie Winstead of South Hill and Jeff Winstead of Brookneal, VA. ; three sisters: Ruby Thomas of Smith Cross Roads, Pauline Edmonds of South Hill and Lena Prater of Boykins, VA.; 19 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and his K-9 companion “Cricket”.
He was predeceased by a son Paul Jackson "Jackie" Winstead, Jr. , a great grandson, J.J. Paige, a sister Ruth Crowder and two brothers: Butch and Henry Winstead.
A funeral service will be conducted Thursday at 2:00 P.M. in New Hope Baptist Church , 255 Union Mill Rd., South Hill, VA.
