Mrs. Anabel Taylor Carter
October 22, 1933 - January 25, 2018

Mrs. Anabel Taylor Carter, age 84 , of Chase City, died Thursday, January 25, 2018 in VCU/Community Memorial Hospital. She was a retired Teacher for Mecklenburg County Public Schools, having taught at Chase City Elementary School and the widow of Michael Marlow Carter. Mrs. Carter is survived by her daughter Belle Carter of Chase City, two brothers; Sherrell W. Taylor (Joanne) of Dunn, NC and Briley P. Taylor (Mary Hawkins) of Guyton, Ga.. and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son Michael M. Carter, Jr. and a brother John Elmer Taylor, Jr. A graveside funeral service will take place on Saturday February 17 at 1:00 P.M. in the Garden of Devotion Cemetery in Hemingway, S.C. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Centenary United Methodist Church, 350 N. Marshall St., Chase City, Va. 23924 or the Johnsonville United Methodist Church, 240 S Georgetown Hwy, Johnsonville, SC 29555. Online condolences may be sent through www.crowderhitecrews.com.
