Mrs. Rodessa Taylor King
July 7, 1921 - April 7, 2018

Mrs. Rodessa Taylor King, age 96, of White Plains, died Saturday, April 7, 2018 in Meadowview Terrace in Clarksville. She was a former employee at Burlington Industry and the widow of William Henry “Peter“ King. Mrs. King is survived by her daughter Evelyn K. Thompson and husband Clyde of La Crosse, her son James M. King and wife Patricia of Evington, Va., a brother Ernest J. Taylor of Waynesboro, TN, three half-sisters; Mary Lee Baker West Point, Va. , Mildred T. Johnson of Mesa, AZ and Sally T. Flach of Elizabeth City, NC, three half brothers; Bobby M. Taylor of Richmond, Billy M. Taylor of Gretna, LA and Jimmy Taylor of Midlothian, seven grandchildren: Betty (David) Sargent, Martha (Mark) Roberts, Carol (Ken) Clark, Kevin Thompson, Kevin Leiffers, Jan (Rob) Blondino and Robert (Krista) King, ten great grandchildren; Eric (Jackie) Glass, Chris Glass, Shauna Clark, Jonathan Glass, Ashley Roberts, Tyler Clark, Kyleigh King , Makayla King, Taylor Clark and Savanna Talmage, and five great great grandchildren; Ella Layne, Aria Clark, Dominic Glass, Jalynne Glass and Mia Glass. She was predeceased by two brothers; Elvin and Lowndes Taylor. A funeral service will be conducted Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. in Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home with interment in Crestview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7:00 to 8:30 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Southeastern Virginia Chapter, 6315 N. Center Drive, Suite 233, Norfolk, Va. 23502, the American Heart Association , 4217 Park Place Ct., Glen Allen, Va. 23060, Mecklenburg S.P.C.A., P. O.
