Mr. Jerry Lee Klingenberg

Obituary:

Mr. Jerry Lee Klingenberg, age 85, of South Hill, died Tuesday December 25, 2018 in his home. He was retired from United Airlines, working in the reservations and marketing department. Mr. Klingenberg is survived by his wife of 63 years, Ethel A. Klingenberg of South Hill; his three daughters: Joyce Klingenberg of South Africa, Andrea L. Lang of New York, NY and Michelle K. Romero of Vancouver, Canada; his two sisters: Wineoh Moore of Alabama and Kay Wildt of Arkansas; his brother, Lynn Klingenberg of Princeton, Ill and his granddaughter, Zoe Romero. A celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday January 2nd at 2:00 P.M. in the Sanctuary of South Hill United Methodist Church. A private interment will take place in Crestview Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rotary Foundation at 14280 Collections Center Drive Chicago, IL 60693 or to the South Hill United Methodist Church at 105 Franklin Street South Hill, VA 23970.   1. My heartfelt sympathy to the loss of Jerry. He and Ethel are members of the church that I attend and they are very kind and gracious people. We will miss seeing Jerry but I know that he is with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Jerry was a wonderful human being. He will be missed. Love to all of the family.

  2. I was sadden to learn of Mr. Klingenberg’s passing. His smile was priceless and with 63 years of marriage you have many, many memories to thank God for. Bless you and your family and give your little dog a big hug. I enjoy seeing you the times we met on the walking trail with our pets and share a few words. May you have peace and joy in this new year and know you and Jerry will rejoice in your heavenly home someday.

    It was with much sadness that I first learned of Jerry’s diminished health and then to learn of his passing. He was such a kind and friendly gentleman and I was privileged to know him.   4. My heart weeps with you but I rejoice that I had the opportunity to be blessed to know Jerry. My life was enriched by being able to share a portion of his earthly journey.   5. My heartfelt condolences to Ethel and their girls and family.Jerry and I have carved together nearly 20 years.Not only a very accomplished carver,He was a dedicated Rotarian and community service oriented ,caring individual with a wry sense of humor.I will miss him greatly.
