Mrs. Marie Parrish Smith

Mrs. Marie Parrish Smith, age 82, of Brodnax, died Sunday February 17, 2019. She was a retired employee of Virginia Quilting and the widow of Edward Bryant Smith. Mrs. Smith is survived by her two daughters: Betty Jacobs and her companion Jim of Drakes Branch and Cathy Smith and her companion Bruce of Brodnax; her daughter-in-law, Priscilla Smith of Richmond; two sisters: Lucy Gittman of South Hill and Mildred Watson of South Hill; her six grandchildren: Michael Jacobs, Bryant Smith, Amanda Brown, Jason Sadler, Sarah Faulkner and Brittany Sadler and twelve great-grandchildren. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her son, Raymond B. Smith. A funeral service will be conducted on Friday February 22nd at 2:00 P.M. in New Hope Baptist Church with interment to follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 7:00 until 8:30 at Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home and Crematory. Memorial contributions may be made to New Hope Baptist Church at 255 Union Mill Road, La Crosse, VA 23950.
