Mrs. Lucy Tolbert Gittman

Obituary:

Mrs. Lucy Tolbert Gittman, age 88, of Brodnax, died Thursday April 9, 2020. She was a homemaker and the widow of Otis Packett Gittman. Mrs. Gittman is survived by her two daughters: Linda Gittman Cannon and her husband David of Brodnax and Brenda Gittman Currin and her husband Danny of La Crosse; her grandson, Christopher Currin; her three granddaughters: Melissa Curtis, Pam Watson and Jamie Michelle Hatcher and her six great-grandchildren: Jordan Watson, Jaxson Hatcher, Hunter Curtis, Hannah Curtis, Kimberly Seamster and Abby Currin. Mrs. Gittman was preceded in death by her great-grandson, Cayden Hatcher. A graveside funeral service will be conducted on Saturday April 11th at 11:00 A.M. in La Crosse Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Mrs. Gittman’s name may be made to the La Crosse Volunteer Fire Department at 202 Carolina Street, La Crosse, VA 23950.   1. So sorry to hear about nanny gittman she will surely be missed. I enjoyed my time with her while working with her and her wonderful and vibrant personality. Family and friends will be in my prayers.

  2. Linda, Brenda and families: I’m so sorry to hear of your moms passing. I surely enjoyed visiting with her when she was out in the breeze way at the nursing home. She was a fine lady that I loved to talk to. It’s hard loosing a love one but remember the good times. I’ll be praying for your families. Love Bonnie Clary
