  1. Thoughts and prayers

My condolences got out to the Arrington family on the passing of Phil. I had gotten to known Phil over the years with my frequent bingo inspection visits to the American Legion Post 79. Phil was very genuine and respected individual that I had greatly looked forward to interacting with when he was there working bingo especially when he was the game manager. I remember the first time I visited the post when he was managing the session for another member he switched nights with when he saw walk into the back office he immediately asked me if the member he was replacing had called me to have me come down and check on him!

Being a fellow veteran, I had the upmost respect for the service Phil and many other Vietnam veterans conducted while serving the military. I also got to know of his travels doing painting work and his involvement with many civic and church activities in the South Hill Area.

On behalf of myself and the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Office of Charitable and Regulatory Programs, our deepest sympathies go out to his loving wife Mary and the members of the family.

  2. In Your Time of Sorrow

    Ms. Arrington and Family,
We were so sorry to hear of Mr. Arrington’s passing. Praying God will comfort you at your time of loss and shelter you under His wing. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

  3. Sincere thoughts and prayers for you, Mary Lou, family and friends!! May God always be right by your side in these rough times and days ahead! Rest In Peace, Phil! ❤️😘🙏
