  1. We were all blessed to know Doris. Always smiling and a kind word for everyone she met. A strong Christian woman of faith, with a loving and caring heart for others. She loved working at the hospital, spreading sunshine to the patients , staff ,visitors and strangers

I remember Mrs. Turner with affection from our years as coworkers at Peebles. Prayers for the continued peace and strength that she would wish for all of her loved ones.

  3. With Deepest Sympathy

    Amanda and Melissa,

I have such fond memories of your dear mother. The ones that most vividly come to mind are the Christmas Eve times visiting and eating that delicious food. Those were evenings not to be missed! Also of course your mom being the face of Peebles Department Store. I always sought her out when I was shopping. Praying for comfort and peace for you both and may your minds be filled with wonderful memories of your lovely mother.

    Love,

    Lynnette and family

  5. I am so sadden to heard of Doris’s passing. I have heard such wonderful stories over the years. There are no words when someone you love passes. You cherish the memories and hold them close to your heart. I always loved the family reunions. I am the granddaughter of Julia Mae Clary. Daughter to Gladys Mae Hensley. I wish there was something to say to make the pain go away. May God comfort the family during this difficult time. I am sending prayers your way and blessings to all. If she was a Clary it goes without saying that she was amazing and awesome. Thanks to my cousin Tracy for always keeping me in the loop of our lived ones.
    Sending love from Maryland

  6. Condolences

Mrs. Turner was such a precious soul. We met at South Hill United Methodist Church. When I asked her to be a substitute for the after school tutoring program, SHEEP, she smiled in agreement. She was a kind and warm lady that always made one smile. I’m grateful to have known her and send my deepest condolences.

I only learned today that Doris had died and I experienced such a wave of sadness. I didn’t even know she had been ill. She was such a sweetheart and always had a warm greeting for me whenever and wherever she saw me. I shall miss her. I send sympathy to her daughters and other family members.

  10. With Deepest Sympathy

I am so sorry to hear of Ms. Turner’s passing. I have known Ms. Turner for years, from childhood, but especially from working at Peebles for years. Each time I went into Peebles Department Store, she always had a smile to offer and was always so helpful and kind. May God give you peace and comfort at your time of loss and in the days that follow. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
