Obituary:

Mr. Earl Jackson Watson, age 67, of Boydton, died on Friday January 14, 2022 in his home. He was a retired carpenter for Virginia Homes of Boydton. Mr. Watson is survived by his wife, Debra Pigg Watson of Boydton; his daughter, Crystal Walker and her husband Dale of Brodnax; his son, Jamie Watson of Boydton; his three grandchildren: Casey Walker, Jenna Walker and Hunter Watson; his sister, Rachel Martin of Baskerville; his mother-in-law, Bertha Pigg of South Hill; his brother-in-law, Benjamin Pigg and his wife Ginny of Pennsylvania and his many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Watson was preceded in death by his son, Earl Jackson Watson, Jr.; his parents, Wilton and Ethel Watson; his father-in-law, Benjamin Pigg, Sr. and his brother, Wilton E. Watson. A funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday January 18th at 2:00 P.M. in the Bethel Baptist Church on Route 4, Baskerville. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends starting at 1:00 P.M. until service time in the church. Online condolences may be made through our website, www.crowderhitecrews.com.
