Obituary:

Mr. Charles Wade Smith, age 26, of Brodnax, died Friday, January 11, 2019 at his residence. He was a carpenter for RFH Inc.
Mr. Smith is survived by his mother Carolyn G. Smith (Charles E. Long, Jr. ) of Stony Creek, his father Jerry W. Smith (Christy May Beck) of Brodnax, two sisters; Ashley Jones (Taylor) of Brodnax and Savannah Denney of Farmville, his paternal grandmother Shirley Heagerty (Jim) of Savannah, GA, paternal grandfather Charles Smith ( Donna) of La Crosse, a step-brother Logan Long of Roanoke Rapids, NC and three step-sisters; Lexus Long, Angella Long and Carrie Long all of Emporia.
A memorial service will be conducted on Thursday January 17th at 2:00 P.M. in Glory 2 Glory worship center. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until the hour of service at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Glory 2 Glory Ministries, 592 Union Mill Rd., La Crosse, Va 23950. Condolences may be sent through www.crowderhitecrews.com. Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the Smith family.
