Judy Ann Turchetta

Mrs. Judy Ann Turchetta, age 76 of South Hill, died Friday, March 19, 2021 in Chase City Health and Rehab Center. She was a retired Special Education teacher at Park View Middle and Park View Senior High Schools, a standard class instructor at Brunswick Senior High School and also did private tutoring. Judy is survived by her husband John Benjamin Turchetta , two sons; B. George Hammond and wife Sharon of Leland, N.C. and Walter Hammond and wife Stacie of Cocoa Beach, Fl, a brother Gene Alderman and wife Mary of Michigan, three sisters; Alice, Patty and Betty, two grandchildren, Amanda Hammond and Collin Hammond and special friend Nancy Merrel of South Hill. A Celebration of Life service will be conducted in the South Hill United Methodist Church on Saturday, April 17th at 2:00 P.M. The service will also be streamed through www.southhillumc.org website also. Memorial contributions in Judy’s name may be sent to the Mecklenburg Co. Special Olympics or the Alzheimer’s Association, Southeastern Virginia Chapter, 6315 N.
