Mrs. Carmen Lydia Gonzalez

Mrs. Carmen Lydia Gonzalez, age 96, of South Hill and formerly of New York City, died on Wednesday August 10, 2022 in her home surrounded by her family. She was a retired New York City Public School Teacher. Mrs. Gonzalez was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Edicer Joseph Gonzalez and her son, Jeffrey Gonzalez. She is survived by her three children: Edicer J. Gonzalez, Jr. and his wife Leonilda of Brooklyn, NY, Dr. Marta Gonzalez-Hipps and her husband John of South Hill and Jose A. Gonzalez of Queens, NY; her six grandchildren and her many loving great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday August 13th at 2:00 P.M. in Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home and Crematory with interment to follow in Westview East Memorial Park in South Hill. The family will receive friends starting at 1:00 P.M. until service time in the funeral home. Online condolences may be made through our website, www.crowderhitecrews.com.
