Mrs. Linda Cannon Toone

Obituary:

Mrs. Linda Cannon Toone, age 73, of Brodnax, VA passed away on Saturday August 9, 2025 in her home, surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest “Gordon” Toone, Jr. Linda leaves to cherish her memory three children: Chris Toone (Amanda), Amy Jackson (Heath) all of Brodnax, VA and Amanda Roux (Chris) of Boydton, VA. Linda is also survived by her siblings: Vickie Williams (Kenny), Iva Bradley (Glen), Barbara Gray (Brian), David Cannon (Linda), Hannie Cannon (Diane), Timmy Cannon (Tracy) and Rickie Cannon. Five grandchildren: Casey, Amber, Hunter, Hayden and Makenzie. Two great-grandchildren: Charlie and Brantley. She was an honorary member of the Brodnax Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She was a devoted caretaker and wonderful Mother and friend who was always there when she was needed most. A funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday August 12th at 11:00 A.M. in Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home and Crematory with interment to follow in Canaan Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6:00 until 7:30 in the funeral home. Memorial contributions in Linda’s name may be made to the Brodnax Volunteer Fire Department at 724 Piney Pond Road, Brodnax, VA 23920.
