Mr. Thomas Earl "Tom" Tanner

Mr. Thomas Earl “Tom” Tanner, age 82, of Brodnax, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Saturday October 5, 2024, in his home, surrounded by his family. He was a retired employee of Burlington/BGF with 42 years of service and a United States Army Veteran. Tom enjoyed being outside gardening and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed listening to music with his friends and family. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Willie A. Tanner; his three children: Willie C. and Marie Tanner, Percy and Amber Tanner and Janet and Bryant Watson; his seven grandchildren: Keith Watson (Billie Jo), Andrew Tanner (Caroline), Hunter Tanner (Casey), Jasmine Watson, Bryce Tanner (Madison), Riley Tanner and Kara Tanner and one great-granddaughter, Evelynn Tanner. His brother, Loyd Tanner, Jr. and his sister, Lucille Pollard. He was preceded in death by his parents, Loyd Tanner and Janet Jones Tanner and his siblings: David Tanner, Dorma T. Clary, Henry Tanner, Richard Tanner , C.W. Tanner and Gracie Morgan. A funeral service will be conducted on Thursday October 10th at 11:00 A.M. in Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home with interment to follow in Crestview Memorial Park with full American Legion Military Honors. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 7:30 in the funeral home. Online condolences may be made through our website, www.crowderhitecrews.com.
