Lillian Wright Baird

Lillian Wright Baird, 91, of Brodnax, VA passed away peacefully on December 23, 2024 surrounded by loved ones. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh C. Baird; her parents, Littleton Green and Ida Clarke Wright; a brother, Robert Bruce “R.B.” Wright, and a special aunt, Nancy B. Clarke.
She is survived by her children, Gary (Kathy) Baird of Bracey, Gerald Baird of Blackridge, and Brenda (Joe) McDowell of Bracey; granddaughters, Sandy (Mike) O’Connor, Amanda (Joe) Whitby, Krystal (Dave) Hayes, Alana (Nate) Jaime, Stephanie Harris, and Laura Baird; great-grandchildren, Britani (Jamie), Miriam, Rebekah, Haley, Michael, Naomi, Gabriel, Peyton, Patrick, Emily, Micah, Danny, Jonathan, and Davis; and many extended family members.
She loved the Lord, family, neighbors, and friends. She loved reading, talking, playing cards, and traveling. She was an awesome cook. She will be greatly missed.
Family will receive friends from 12:30 P.M. until the hour of service. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, December 26, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. in Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home with interment in Canaan Cemetery, Brodnax.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donations in Lillian’s memory to Canaan Cemetery Association, PO Box 237, Brodnax, VA 23920 or the Brodnax Fire Department, PO Box 398, Brodnax, VA 23920.
