My Journey by Ruth Bay
My earthly journey began April 29, 1932
I walked paths of gladness, trial anew.
I tried life my way, everything failed.
It was only with Christ that success hailed.
We're much alike but each set-apart,
For special journeys to please his heart.
Cry, if you must, in happiness for me.
Because from life's problems, I am now free.
Christ refined me from during my life's journey,
Just for now where I ought to be.
Know that you too can be eternally with him.
Among family, love ones-all of them.
My earthly journey is over.
I have journeyed on,
Reaching that glorious place, Heaven's Home.
Death is not the end but a transition to more,
A flight from earth through Heaven's eternal door.

  1. Memorable Ruth

Ruth was our neighbor when I was a little girl, about 4-5 years old , I thought she was the coolest lady , I would walk over to her house & she would fix me iced tea with leaves of mint that she grew next to her back porch. I remember thinking she was so pretty and she was always nice to me even though I’m sure I was probably “the aggravating kid next door”
Some of my best memories include Ruth … rest in peace , pretty lady !
