Mrs. Sandra Griffith Barker

Mrs. Sandra Griffith Barker, age 84, of South Hill, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on Saturday June 28, 2025. She was a retired legal secretary for the Law firm of Harris-Matthews and Crowder in South Hill. Mrs. Barker is survived by her husband, Dennis T. Barker of South Hill; her son, Michael Griffith and his wife Sandra of Clemmons, NC; her two grandchildren: Leah Link and her husband Jon and Garrett Griffith; her three great-grandchildren: Culberson Link, Olson Link and Riley Link; her brother, Alvis Vaughan, Jr.; her sister, Donna Bishop; her children by choice: Dennis T. Barker, Jr. and his wife Rhonda, David W. Barker and Audra Bing; her grandchildren by choice: Kelsey Barker, Ashley Balducci, Hannah Morgan, Jordan Morgan, Cameron Barker and Leigha Barker and her many loving nieces and nephews, including special niece Connie Mason Ott and special nephew, David Dix. Mrs. Barker was preceded in death by her first husband, Jackie Griffith. A funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday July 2nd at 11:00 A.M. in Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home and Crematory with interment to follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6:30 until 8:00 in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, attn: Memorials Processing, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959 or to the ASPCA through their website, www.aspca.org. Sandra was one of the sweetest people on earth and will be missed by all who knew her. May God be with each member of her family in the months ahead without her. Lots of love from my home to yours
