Obituary:

In Loving Memory of Kathy Ivey
With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life well lived, we announce the passing of Kathy Ivey, a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and faithful servant of Christ. Kathy was the cherished daughter of Robert and Althie Barnette and the devoted wife of Glen Ivey. Her greatest joy in life was her family. She leaves behind her loving children: Willie Townsend and wife Susan, Cheyenne Townsend and wife Wanda, and Brandy Lewis and husband Vince. Kathy’s legacy continues through her treasured grandchildren: Bailey (Dani), Mallory, Mason, Tanner, Tristan (Nathan), Courtney (Rusty), Seth, Kasey (Ashton), Wesley (Kristen), Taylor (Hunter), Hayden (AJ), JB, Destiney (Ryan), Katie, and Becca, along with 16 precious great-grandchildren who were the light of her life. Additionally, she was loved by so many nieces and nephews, as well as cherished friends, who even stayed by her side day and night at the very end of her sweet life. She precedes in death her brothers Robert Barnette, Tommy Barnette, Terry Barnette, and Jerry Barnette, and her sister Margaret Ann Bishop. Kathy will be remembered as a loving and devoted Christian woman who shared the message of Jesus’ love with everyone she met. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, and she found great joy in telling others about the salvation only He provides. Her kindness, warmth, and unwavering devotion to her family and faith will be deeply missed but forever cherished. Her life was a beautiful reflection of love, faith, and grace. Though she is no longer with us, her legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. A funeral service will be conducted on Sunday March 29th at 2:00 P.M. in Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home and Crematory with interment to follow in the Mount Olivet Church Cemetery in Forksville. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 in the funeral home. Online condolences may be made through our website, www.crowderhitecrews.com. Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the Ivey family.

  1. Remembering Kathy Ivey

My sincere condolences go out to the family and friends of Ms Kathy. We became friends when we attended the same church for a while, and connected enough married dots to have an indirect family connection. She was always loving and sweet when our busy paths crossed. I will always remember her with her pretty little birds.
