Betty Jean Wright

Betty Jean Partello Wright, age 95 of Kenbridge, passed away April 21,2026 at her home. She was born October 21, 1930 in Washington, DC to the late Paul and Olive Partello and is also preceded in death by her son Leland James Houghton, formerly of Maine. Betty was a retired dispatcher with VEPCO. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Maria Wright of Kenbridge; 3 sons, Chester William Houghton of Maine, Jamie Michael Wright of Florida and John Gary Wright of Kenbridge; along with many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will be held 1:00 PM Monday, April 27, 2026 at Good Shepherd Roman Catholic Church, South Hill, VA. Interment will follow in St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church Cemetery, Ebony, VA.
