Warren Harding Currin, Jr.

06/10/1954 - 07/13/2026

Obituary:

Warren Harding Currin, Jr., 72, of Lawrenceville, passed away on July 13, 2026, at his home. Warren was predeceased by his father, Warren Harding Currin; his sister, Linda Wade; his niece, Jennifer Wade; and his granddaughter, Savannah Hope Sprecher. He is survived by his mother, Shirley Garner (Gene) of Richmond; his three sons, Warren Harding Currin III of South Hill, Michael Waylon Currin of Lawrenceville, and Christopher Allen Watson (Hope) of Amelia; his daughter, Misty Marie Watson of Boydton; his sister, Brenda L. Smith of Mechanicsville; his grandchildren, Cassie Mae Currin, Dixie Nicole Lewis, and Austin James Currin; his great-grandson, Kaizer James Keller; and his close cousins, Bill Clark and Marvin Mull.

Warren will be remembered for his many joys in life, including being an amazing father and grandfather, a talented mechanic, skilled carpenter, stew master, and all-around great cook. He loved singing karaoke, fishing, watching NASCAR and westerns, playing and following baseball, and spending time camping with his family. One thing Warren always took pride in was his talents. As he wrote in his own memory book, his talents were, “Love to sing karaoke and one of the best truck drivers to ever drive a truck or car (go-carts).” His confidence, humor, and lighthearted spirit shined through in everything he did. Perhaps most of all, Warren will be remembered for his perfect sense of humor. He had a way of making people laugh, lifting spirits, and finding humor in almost any situation. His quick wit, infectious laughter, and unforgettable personality will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Warren’s preacher and longtime friend, Jerry Malone, for his friendship, guidance, and support.

A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at Antioch Community Church Cemetery, 3489 S. Hill Rd., Kenbridge.
