Lucy Rivas Ratcliff, age 83, of South Hill, passed away on Monday, September 7, 2026, in her home, with her family by her side. She was a retired social worker for LCAAA. Lucy is survived by her son, Steven Ratcliff and his wife Mary of South Hill; her daughter, Michelle Olivas of Long Beach, California; her seven grandchildren: Ashley Mayo, Allie Coder, Kyle Coder, Jamie Martin, Jessica Irving, Austin Ratcliff and Brandon Ratcliff and her seven great-grandchildren: Natalia Mayo, Viviana May, Sophia Coder, Theodore Irving, Elizabeth Irving, Kelley Ratcliff and Casen Ratcliff. A funeral mass will be held on Sunday September 13th at 8:00 A.M. in the Catholic Church of the Good Shepherd, South Hill, Virginia. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Lucy’s name may be made to the charity of your choice. Online condolences may be made through our website, www.crowderhitecrews.com.
