Infant Cora Mae Matthews

Infant Cora Mae Matthews, passed into the loving arms of her maker and creator on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at VCU/Community Memorial Health center.
She is survived by her mother Holly Michael and father Nathaniel Matthews III both of Kenbridge, her paternal grandmother; Mendy Durham (Will) of Kenbridge and paternal grandfather Haynie Matthews, Jr. also of Kenbridge, maternal grandmother Marah Taylor (Jon) of South Hill and maternal grandfather Jason Michael of Norlina, NC, paternal great grandparents Sandi Smith (Tommy) of Boones Mill, Va., maternal great grandparents Gloria Matthews (Nat) of Kenbridge and great grandmother Wanda Smale of Pennsylvania, great grandmother Michele Durham of Kenbridge and Marie Taylor of South Hill, great grandfather Robert Murphy of Pennsylvania and Fairley Michael of Louisburg, NC, paternal great great grandparents; Evelyn Rogers ( Andy) of Boones Mill, VA, Martha Smith (Boyd) of Sandston, Va. and Virginia Chavis of Kenbridge, four aunts; Cierra Matthews of Kenbridge, Cameron Matthews of Alberta, Joy Durham of Crewe and Maddy Michael of South Hill, and an uncle Austin Michael of South Hill, VA.
A private family service will be conducted at a later date but announced on this website. The family request memorial contributions in Cora’s name be directed to the Garland Birthing Center , 1755 N. Mecklenburg Ave., South Hill, Va.
