Mr. Kenneth Jackson "Cut" Moody

Mr. Kenneth Jackson “Cut” Moody, age 82, of La Crosse, died Tuesday January 15, 2019. He was the retired town manager for La Crosse, VA, ran and operated his own plumbing and electrical business, was a United States Army Veteran but his true love was farming. Mr. Moody was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Barbara M. Moody and is survived by two sons: Kenneth J. Moody, Jr. and wife Meagan of La Crosse and Jason M. Moody of Bracey; his daughter, Jennifer M. Redman and husband Christopher of La Crosse; seven grandchildren: Lindsey Moody, Jeb Redman, Chris Redman, Jr., Jackson Moody, Saylor Moody, Brooklyn Moody and Joshlyn Moody and six sister-in-laws: Freda Robinson, Sara Morris, Betty Waldrep and husband David, Rachel Allgood and husband “Doc”, Libbee Morris and Pat Morris. A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday January 19th at 11:00 A.M. in Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home and Crematory with interment to follow in La Crosse Cemetery with full American Legion Post 79 Military Honors. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:30 at the funeral home and at all other times at the home of Ken Moody, Jr. Memorial contributions may be made to the La Crosse Baptist Church at 102 S. Carter St., La Crosse, VA 23950; Sardis United Methodist Church at 3152 Marengo Road, La Crosse, VA 23950 or to the La Crosse Volunteer Fire Department at 202 Carolina Street, La Crosse, VA 23950. Sincere Sympathy
God has definitely gained another angel . He was such a good and kind person. The people in LaCrosse will really miss him. Also anybody who knew him. May God be with each and every member of his family in the months ahead without him. Lots of love to you all.
