Mrs. Agnes Hinkle Shell

Obituary:

Mrs. Agnes Hinkle Shell, age 90, of South Hill, died on Monday October 17, 2022. She was a retired employee of Virginia Quilting, an active volunteer for the Community Memorial Hospital Auxilary for many years and the widow of Cecil Leroy Shell. Mrs. Shell is survived by her two sons: Gordon Shell and his wife Anna of Wilsons, VA and Michael C. Shell and his wife Sarah of Summerville, SC; her three brothers: Eugene Hinkle of Kenbridge, David Hinkle of Boydton and Bernard Hinkle of Richmond; her two sisters: Roberta Evans of Kenbridge and Juanita Spence of La Crosse; her nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mrs. Shell was preceded in death by her daughter, Teresa Deacon; her brother, D.B. Hinkle and her two sisters: Bethel McDaniel and Louise Stepp. A graveside funeral service will be conducted on Thursday October 20th at 2:00 P.M. in Crestview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends starting at 12:30 until service time in Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home and Crematory. Online condolences may be made through our website, www.crowderhitecrews.com.   1. I was very sorry to hear the news of Agnes passing. From my brief acquaintance with her, and my wife’s fond memories of her, I know that she was a very sweet lady, who will be missed by all.
