Calvin Marshall Reamey

Mr. Calvin Marshall Reamey of Colonial Heights departed this life on September 12, 2023, surrounded by his family.
He was born on July 11, 1933, in Mecklenburg County, Va., the second youngest and last surviving sibling of eight children, to the late William and Macel Redmond Reamey.
Mr. Reamey was an U.S. Army Korean conflict veteran who served as an MP. He retired from the Virginia State Highway Department where he worked as a Survey Crew Chief. Mr. Reamey was a long-time member of Ivey Memorial Church in Colonial Heights. He loved being outside working in his yard and vegetable gardens. His other hobbies included the collection and restoration of antiques and Civil War relics. He found joy in displaying and sharing his hobbies with others.
Mr. Reamey was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Betty Sue Poythress Reamey.
He is survived by his daughter Sandra Lynne Reamey Daul and husband Joseph Allen Daul; grandchildren Codey Allen Daul and Brandon Marshall Daul; Grand-dogs Bailey, Brant and Graham and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 16, 2023, in Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home and Crematory, 1504 N. Mecklenburg Avenue, South Hill VA 23970. Interment will follow in Crestview Memorial Park, 18599 Highway One La Crosse, VA 23950.The family will receive friends Friday, September 15, 2023, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

We all loved Calvin; he had such a sweet disposition and loved his family. My mom had some wonderful memories of him.
