Mr. Robert Harold Raymond

Mr. Robert H. Raymond, age 90, of Brodnax, died on Friday, December 29, 2023. He was a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran, a long distance truck driver and a retired employee of Ford motor company. Mr. Raymond was a proud member of the American Legion Post 79 of South Hill. He is survived by his son, Robert H. Raymond, Jr. of Brodnax; his daughter, Sandra Whitby Sellers and her husband, Ralph Yahne of Chesapeake; his three granddaughters: Melissa Williams of Norfolk, Heather Pratt and her husband P.J. of Virginia Beach and Kayla Shalaby and her husband Maged of Atsugi, Japan; his eleven great-grandchildren, including Christopher “Jose” Merkley; his one great-great grandchild; his brother, Jimmy Raymond and his wife Judy of New York and his many loving nieces and nephews. Mr. Raymond was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Mamie P. Raymond, his son, Robert Wayne Whitby and his granddaughter, Jennifer Whitby. A funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, January 3rd at 2:00 P.M. in Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home and Crematory with interment to follow in La Crosse Cemetery with full American Legion Post 79 Military Honors.
