Mrs. Cecelia Tucker Coleman

Cecelia Tucker Coleman (CC), 70, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 16, 2024 at her residence in Lunenburg County. Cecelia is survived by her husband of 45 years, John D. Coleman, her sister Marie Tucker Diveley (Jonathan), sisters-in-law Murr Lacy and Frankie Doyle, brother-in-law, Brad Tobin, several nieces and nephews, numerous cousins as well as her Aunt Edith Callahan of Chase City. Cecelia's parents (Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Tucker) and two sisters (Jackie Seamster and Barbara Flippen) preceded her in death. Cecelia graduated from Kenston Forest in Blackstone in 1972. She went on to college and graduate school earning degrees from both Virginia Commonwealth University and James Madison University. Cecelia was a special education teacher and later a supervisor and then Director of Special Education working in Nottaway, Mecklenburg and Lunenburg counties. Cecelia devoted herself to her students and her husband. Cecelia loved hosting family and friends at the family farm in Lunenburg County with her husband Johnny. She loved her many dogs and cats, going to the Outer Banks, Bonnie Raitt, BB and the Blues. A gathering to celebrate Cecelia's life will be held on Saturday May 4th at 1:00 P.M. in Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home and Crematory. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to your local animal shelters. Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the Coleman family.

So sorry to hear of Cecelia’s passing. We were together at Kenston Forest but lost touch with each other after graduation. I remember her her as a very kind and friendly person.
