Mr. Kermit Tucker Newcomb, age 93, of Brodnax, died on Sunday April 27, 2025 in his home, surrounded by his family. Mr. Newcomb was a retired supervisor for Clover Yarn in Clover, VA and a United States Army veteran who served during the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his wife, Bernice Jones Newcomb of Brodnax; his daughter, Deana Deel and her husband Jay of South Hill; his two sons: Frankie Bowers of South Hill and Doug Newcomb and his wife Jennifer of South Boston; his three grandchildren: B.J., Bryan and Crystal and his two great-grandchildren: K.J. and Onyx. He was preceded in death by his brother, Berkley Newcomb. A funeral service will be conducted on Thursday May 1st at 2:00 P.M. in Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home and Crematory with interment to follow in Canaan Cemetery with full American Legion Post 79 Military Honors. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 7:00 until 8:30 in the funeral home. Online condolences may be made through our website, www.crowderhitecrews.com. He was a kind, caring neighbor who was always willing to help. He will truly be missed.
