Mrs. Jennifer Sarringer West

03/08/1950 - 08/13/2025

Obituary:

It is with heavy hearts and incredible memories that we share the passing of Jennifer West on August 13th. Jennifer was the beloved wife of Frank West, with whom she shared 47 beautiful years of true love, marriage, and companionship.
Jennifer was a devoted mother to her cherished children: Bonnie, Larry, Michelle, and Kimberly. Her joy and love for life extended to her role as a grandmother, where she was the proud and loving "Grammy" to her seven precious grandchildren: Jennifer, Isabella, Zackary, TJ, Frankie, Jordan, and Morgan. Each of them was a source of immense pride, and she was truly in her glory when with them.
Jennifer's family also grew with her loving embrace of her son-in-law, John Leshok, and his three children: Allison, Isaac, and Jake. They, too, became an immediate and cherished part of her family.
Jennifer and her sister Margaret Helen “Penny” Sarringer (McGraw) were born in New York and raised much of their lives on Otisco Lake near Cortland, NY, by their grandparents Wesley Edward Sarringer Sr. and Florence Ruth Varns.
Her vibrant personality and boundless energy lit up every room. With the biggest, brightest smile and an adorable smirk and wink, Jennifer had a way of keeping everyone around her feeling grounded and loved. Her presence was a beacon of joy, bringing warmth, laughter, and positivity to everyone she met, and her unwavering love and compassion touched many.
Jennifer's contributions to her community included her involvement with "Just Aerobics" in Chester, VA, and her joy at "Lazy Daisy" in Bracey, VA. These places were not just businesses but extensions of her lively spirit and her love for bringing people together.
Jennifer touched the hearts of many and left a significant mark on us all. Her memory will live on in the smiles and laughter she inspired, and in the enduring legacy of love she leaves behind.
As we gather to remember and celebrate her remarkable life, we hold onto the love that she gave so freely, knowing that she is forever in our hearts.
Jennifer was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley Edward Sarringer Jr. and Sally Edna Cook, and her grandson, Morgan Dean Allred. She is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren, son-in-law, sister, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Sunday, August 17, 2025 from 3:00 P.M. until 4:30 at Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home.
A private service and interment will be conducted Wednesday in Olive Branch Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family suggests that friends of Jennifer join the family at 12:30 P.M. at Olive Branch Baptist Church for refreshments and the continued celebration of her life.
Memorial contributions in Jennifer’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, P. O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090.
Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home is honored to be serving the West family.

  4. My thoughts and prayers our with you

While I did not know your mom I can tell from how Michelle has shared pictures and memories of her mom that she must have been such a sweet lady. Also knowing Michelle tells a lot that about her mom by raising a beautiful, caring and sweet daughter which is a reflection of her. I know she will be missed here on earth but she will surround you and still watch over you everyday smiling down to see her precious family.

Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.,
