Mr. Joe Lewis Hostetter, Sr.

Obituary:

Mr. Joe Lewis Hostetter, Sr., age 79, of South Hill, died Sunday December 9, 2018. He was a former employee of the C.W. Wright Construction Company and Parker Oil. Mr. Hostetter is survived by his wife of 55 years, Catherine B. Hostetter of South Hill; his son, Joe Lewis Hostetter, Jr. of Chase City; his three daughters: Laura Hostetter Williams and her husband Michael of Burlington, Kentucky, Cynthia Gayle Sandy and her husband Anthony of Kenbridge and Tracey Diane Walker and her husband Darnell of Wilmington, NC; his four brothers: Robert Hostetter of South Hill, Carson Hostetter of Buford, GA, Calvin Hostetter of Baskerville and Rickie Hostetter of Lawrenceville; his sister, Mary Parrish of Dolphin; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Mr. Hostetter was predeceased by his parents, Evelyn and Eugene Hostetter, two brothers, Eugene “Bud” and Wayne, his sister, Charlotte Thompson and his daughter-in-law, Rhonda Hostetter. A funeral service will be conducted on Friday December 14th at 11:00 A.M. in Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home with interment to follow in Crestview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 7:00 until 8:30 in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association at P.O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058. Online condolences may be sent through www.crowderhitecrews.com. Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the Hostetter family.

    Dear Sister Hostetter and all of your family, I’m so sorry for the loss of your husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. I love you guys and am praying that the comfort that only God can give will fill your hearts.
