Obituary:

Cheryl Ann Lowrey, age 67, of La Crosse, died on Wednesday February 5, 2025. She was a well known local landscaper who owned and operated her own company, Unique Landscaping. Cheryl is survived by her daughter, Melissa L. Baird of La Crosse; her three sisters: Peggy Clark of South Hill, Susan Hall and her husband Glenn of Clarksville and Alesia Owen and her husband Donnie of Broadway; her brother, Charles Lowrey and his wife Cheryl of Chase City; her father, Charles Lowrey of La Crosse and her three step-children: Joey Solomon, Jason Solomon and Kevin Solomon. Cheryl was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Lowrey and her two brothers: Jimmy Lowrey and Jerry Lowrey. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 8, 2025 from 6-8pm at First Baptist Church at 410 N. Mecklenburg Ave, South Hill, VA 23970. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mecklenburg County Cancer Association In Cheryl's name: @ MCCA PO Box 94, Clarksville, VA 23927 (Please include Cheryl's name in donation).     My heart aches for Melissa. Also for Cheryl’s family. I always admired Cheryl’s forthright opinions. She was honest to a fault. We enjoyed many a laugh and shared difficulties in our lives.
    Cheryl, you are now at peace with God’s angels comforting you.
