Obituary:

Mr. David Louis Goodfriend, age 78, of Boydton, passed away on Thursday September 18, 2025. He was a retired aviation mechanic for Northwest Orient Airlines and an United States Army Veteran. He is survived by his sister, Mary A. Walters and her husband Jim of Boydton. A funeral mass will be conducted on Saturday September 27th at 11:00 A.M. in the Church of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in South Hill. Burial will take place at a later date in the St. Mary’s Catholic Church Cemetery in New Albany, Indiana. Online condolences may be made through our website, www.crowderhitecrews.com.     I had the pleasure of knowing David for many years and spending time with him traveling to Trapshoots. David was the most honest, trustworthy person I know and a fierce competetor on the trap line. He had a big heart and would not hesitate to help those that needed it.
    He will be missed by those that knew him.

    Sorry to learn of Mr Goodfriend’s death. He was blessed to have family members to care for him during his declining health. Would like to acknowledge his military service to our great country as a U. S. Army Veteran.
