Obituary:

Mr. James Earl Panther, age 65, of South Hill, passed away on Wednesday October 29, 2025. He was a retired auto mechanic. James is survived by his two sons: Thomas E. Panther of North Chesterfield and Joshua Panther of South Hill; his grandson, Colin Thomas Panther; his mother, Betty L. Deans of South Hill; his brother, Frank Lee Panther of South Hill; his two sisters: Catherine Elaine Pearce of Chase City and Veronica Lynn Panther of South Hill; his companion, Laury King and his beloved pet cat, Bob. James was preceded in death by his father, Frank E. Panther and his wife, Cheryl C. Panther. Services will be private. Online condolences may be made through our website, www.crowderhitecrews.com.     My heart is broke I didn’t know you went to be with the Lord tell me you was a good man and I always remember you and I wish the family deep regrets that I hate to hear that he’s passed away

    To my Virginia family,
    I am so sorry to hear about Jamie’s passing. I loved spending time with your family as a child in Virginia. I still remember our trip to Virginia Beach. Jamie and Frankie gave us the tour of the tobacco barn. Jamie was older than us but I will never forget him cracking jokes with us children. He had the warmest heart and the funniest wit. I am sending you my heartfelt condolences for his loss with lots of love and prayers from South Carolina.
