Mr. Linwood Cameron Smith

Obituary:

Linwood Cameron Smith, 81, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, November 17, 2025. Raised in Graham, NC, Linwood was the son of the late Cameron C. and Bonnie T. Smith. He attended Chowan College and spent part of his early career working alongside his father and brother at Smith Appliance in Graham. For the past 20 years, Linwood made his home at Lake Gaston, Virginia, a place he dearly loved. He was an avid golfer who loved the game as much as the friends he played with over the years. Linwood was also a member and deacon of Bethesda Baptist Church, where he built many lasting friendships. He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Meghan Bryenn Smith. He is survived by his son, Rodney Cameron Smith, and wife Kym of Charlotte; his granddaughter, Jordan Mahler, her husband Eric, and 2 great grandsons currently residing in St. Augustine, FL; his grandson Jackson Cameron Smith of Charlotte; and his daughter Meghan's son and his grandson, T. Blake Bolter of Kenbridge, VA. Linwood is also survived by his sister, Ellen Holliman, and her husband Hugh of North Myrtle Beach, SC and by his brother, Tommy Smith of Graham, NC and several nieces and nephews. Linwood's family and friends will remember him for his steady presence, his gentle spirit, and the kindness he shared so freely. His memory will remain a blessing to all who loved him. Hissister and brother will always remember with gratitude the years of loving care he gave their mother, allowing her to stay in her home until her passing.A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Bethesda Baptist Church, 1614 Buggs Island Road, Boydton, VA. 23917.
