Mr. Richard Elder "Sonny" Hite

Mr. Richard Elder "Sonny" Hite , age 92 0f South Hill died Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at the home of his son. Sonny was a retired Auto Parts Salesman having worked with Wheel and Parts of South Hill , Parts Service NAPA Auto Parts in South Hill and CarQuest Auto Parts also in South Hill and was the widower of Jean Ezell Hite. Sonny is survived by his son Rick Hite and wife Eli of North Chesterfield, his grandson Jeremy P. Hite and wife Sarah of Powhatan, three great grandchildren Jeff, Jordan and Sophia Schulze all of Powhatan and a sister Carol H. Wells and husband Matt of Union Level and a dear friend and caregiver, Mary Evelyn Hines. He was predeceased by his granddaughter Kathryn Nicole Hite , a brother Charlie Hite and a sister Mildred Parrish. Services will be conducted on Thursday December 4, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. in Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home and Crematory with burial to follow in La Crosse Cemetery. The family will receive friends starting at 10:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home. Online condolences may be sent through our website at www.crowderhitecrews. com. So sorry to hear about Sonny. He and Jean were great neighbors when we were young. Sonny and Jean were a fun couple. So sorry for Ricky. No one will love you like your daddy. We always talked about Ricky and his family when we saw each other. Sonny lived a long life. I hope he had a peaceful journey. Sending peace and love.
My husband and I knew Sonny well. He was a great person. So sorry to hear of his passing but now he can be with Jean the love of his life.
So sorry to learn of Sonny’s death. May God be with his family in the months ahead without him.
