Mrs. Patricia Ezell Craven

Obituary:

Patricia Annette Ezell Craven, age 65, of South Hill VA, passed away on Sunday
December 21, 2025, at Chase City Health & Rehab Center, Chase City Virginia.
Patricia, affectionally known as “Pat”, was born on March 2nd , 1960, in South Hill VA, the
second of four children to Robert Samuel Ezell and Hazel Moseley Ezell.
On August 11th , 1979, Pat married the love of her life Larry Craven in La Crosse.
In 1984 after Larry joined the Air Force the family moved to Loring Air Force Base in
Aroostook County Maine spending 10 years there. In 1994 the family then moved to
Whiteman Air Force Base in Johnson County Missouri. In 1996 while her husband was vacationing at Kunsan Air Base in Korea she decided to find some employment to pass the time. She found a job for Army Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) working in food services and in 2022 retired after 25 years of service.
After retirement the family moved to South Hill VA to help take care of her mother-in-law.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, son Michael, and sister Mona. Pat is survived by her husband Larry, daughter Amanda; her two brothers: Jeff Ezell and wife Tara and Brent Ezell and wife Misty of La Crosse, former daughter-in-law Kimberly Shell, and all her AAFES family and friends in Missouri.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Chase City Health & Rehab Center for the
outstanding service they provided to Patricia in the short time she was with them.
A graveside funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday December 30th at 1:00 P.M.
in Crestview Memorial Park. Contributions in Patricia’s name can be made to the Dementia Society of America through their website, www.dementiasociety.org.     Jeff and Brent,

    Sending hugs to both of you. I hadn’t seen Pat in years but have such vivid childhood memories of us riding our bikes, roller skating and catching lightning bugs. We sure knew how to have fun way back then. Sorry for your loss.
