Mr. Walter Christian Meyer, IV

Obituary:

Walter Christian Meyer IV (“Chris”), of Raleigh, North Carolina, passed away on January 26, 2026. He was born on October 10, 1955, in Richmond, Virginia. Chris played golf in his youth and was a member of his high school golf team. He pursued higher education at Virginia Tech, the University of Western Ontario, and the University of Pittsburgh, where he earned a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Philosophy and pursued doctoral studies. He worked in food service for many years. Away from work he was a fan of the Carolina Hurricanes and the Toronto Maple Leafs. Chris was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Christian Meyer III and June Loving Meyer. He is survived by his brothers, John Meyer (Kay) and Kenneth Meyer (Beth); his nieces and nephews, Erin Delgado (David), Davis Meyer, Kevin Meyer (Katie), and Elliott Reeves (Justin); and his great-nephews, Aaden, Tanner, Jackson, and Henry. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to PBS of North Carolina. Online condolences may be made through our website, www.crowderhitecrews.com.
