Floyd Edward Wootten
10/13/1940 - 05/27/2026
Floyd Edward Wootten, age 85 of Boydton, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at home with his family and best- buddy “Bubba” by his side. Floyd was predeceased this year by his loving wife of 63 years, Betty Parrot Wootten; his parents, John and Callie Wootten; and his sister, along with her husband, Helen and Linwood Regan. He is survived by his daughters, Dr. Melody J. Wootten of Boydton and Shelly Parham (Chuck) of Baskerville; two grandsons, Ayden Parham and Cody Parham; a brother, Marshall Wootten (Terry); his loyal buddies, “Bubba” and “Smokie” ; and other relatives as well as family friends. A life-long farmer, retired Virginia State Police Weight Enforcement Officer, adventurer, Harley rider and “foodie”. Floyd and Betty made a life-time of great memories, raising two daughters on an active dairy farm …..The family will receive friends, from 2:00 PM- 3:00 PM, Sunday May 31, 2026 at Crowder-Hite -Crews Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM with Pastor Ronnie Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lake Country SPCA through their website, www.lakecountryspca.org/donate or to the Bethany Baptist Church at P.O. Box 119, Baskerville, VA 23915.
