Mrs. Mary Malone Sadler

Obituary:

Mrs. Mary Malone Sadler, age 83, of Brodnax, VA, passed away peacefully on Sunday June 14, 2026 in her home, surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born on December 21, 1942; to John Ballard Malone and Clarice D. Malone. Mary owned and operated Sadler’s Cash Store and Sadler Salvage in Brodnax, VA, with her husband of 47 years, Frank Garland Sadler, Sr, until his passing in 2009. She was a devoted mother, wife and grandma. Mary enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, crocheting, trips to the mountains and her two beloved pugs: Spanky and Scooby. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, John Ballard and Clarice Malone; her husband of 47 years, Frank G. Sadler, Sr.; her two sisters: Jeanette M. Jarman and Carolyn M. Bolick and granddaughter, Amanda Grace Sadler. Mary is survived by her sons: Frank Garland Sadler, Jr. (JoAnn) of Brodnax, VA, their children: Bryan Sadler (Christina), Ashley Sadler Lewis (Dustin), Katie Sadler and Katlyn Sadler (Adam). Freddie Lynn Sadler (Becky) of Brodnax, VA and their child, Evie Sadler. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren: Aiden, Carmen, Skyla, Megan, Brady, Brody and Ozzy and several nieces and nephews. A private graveside service will be held in La Crosse Cemetery. The family extends their deepest gratitude to Amedisys Hospice for their compassionate care, support and dignity provided to Mary and her family during her final days. Memorial contributions may be made to the La Crosse Methodist Church at P.O. Box 279, La Crosse, VA 23950 or to the Brodnax Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 398, Brodnax, VA 23920.
