Constance Nicholson Smiley

Constance Leigh Nicholson Smiley, 77 of LaCrosse, passed away June 20, 2026. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Edith Nicholson and also predeceased by her sister Kaye Nicholson Staley. Connie is survived by her husband of 55 years, Leo Smiley; sons, Chad Smiley (Tammy) of Colonial Heights and Ryan Smiley (Jaime) of Midlothian; sister, Kim Crocker of Flower Mound, TX; grandchildren, Chase, Tyler, Anna, Danielle, Tucker and Chris; great-grandchildren, Sawyer, Camille and Warner; along with many other relatives and friends. She was a beloved mother and will be remembered for her many attributes, including being an Excellent Cook. Additionally, she was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. A Graveside service will be held Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at 11:00 AM in Oakwood Cemetery, with Pastor Dan Jarrell officiating. In lieu of flowers please make donations to New Hope Baptist Church. Leo, I am so sorry to hear that you lost Connie …My deepest condolences …Heaven’s gate was certainly swung wide open with Angels waiting to escort Connie into her Eternal Home to live with Jesus to watch over her whole, safe, and beautiful 😇Love to you and your family as you carry on missing her but treasuring every good memory of your lives together 🙏❤️🙏
