Tammy Elizabeth Watson
11/12/1968 - 07/13/2026
Tammy Elizabeth Watson of South Hill passed away on Monday, July 13th, at the age of 57. Tammy is survived by her five children, Cindy (Andrew) Burwell of Chesterfield, VA, Robin (Robert) Hensley of South Hill, VA, Shaun (Ashley Luhrs) Watson of San Francisco, CA, Shannon Campbell of Fredericksburg, VA, Christopher Watson of South Hill, VA, and her six grandchildren, Carley Hensley, Makayla Hensley, London Burwell, Dallas Burwell, Aaron Hensley, and Liam Campbell. Tammy was preceded in death by her loving husband of 31 years, Nelson Edward Watson, her mother Mary Elizabeth Denton, her father Ted Ellis Andrews, her brother Carl Ellis Andrews, her sister-in-law Jody Andrews, and her step-father Wiley Denton.
For every moment of every day, Tammy cherished her family. They were always her first priority, as she devoted herself to raising her five children and spending as much time as she could with her grandchildren. Tammy loved kids and channeled this passion into helping care for children within the community, helping shape the lives of many children over the past 30 years. Tammy also had a special bond with animals, specifically cats and dogs. Oftentimes, she’d rescue small animals that needed help and nurse them back to health. She adored her 3 dogs that never left her side. And
enjoyed feeding any animal that came to her door looking for a good meal. A private service will be held at a later date. Any memorial contributions in honor of Tammy may be made to the Southside SPCA at www.southsidespca.org.
