Mr. Jack “Jackie” Harrison Gordon, age 73, of South Hill, passed away on Tuesday August 11, 2026, in his home, surrounded by his family. He was a retired brick mason. Jackie is survived by his three daughters: Crystal Gordon of Clayton, North Carolina, Eva Gordon of South Hill and Kimberly Gordon Brown (Chris) of South Hill; his twelve grandchildren: Jayce, Arial, Janeva, Jayda, Kelli Jo, Rilee, Kaci, Sophie, Chase (Kory), Tristan (Trista), Christa and Camden; One great-granddaughter, Kailani; His four siblings: Kitty Crowe of South Hill, Ray Gordon (Helen) of South Hill, Linda Roberts (Lynn) of Dolphin and Debra Hall of Blackridge. Jackie was preceded in death by his parents, William Ray and Eva Snead Gordon. A funeral service will be conducted on Friday August 14th at 2:00 P.M. at Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home and Crematory with interment to follow at Crestview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends starting at 1:00 P.M. until service time in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Union Gospel Chapel at P.O. Box 685, South Hill, Virginia 23970. The family also welcomes floral tributes for those who wish to send flowers. Online condolences may be made through our website, www.crowderhitecrews.com. There’s no doubt where he is now. Like Enoch, he walked with God. Like William Cowper the old hymn writer, he had his struggles, but the struggles brought out his faith in Christ. He knew the LORD. He trusted the Lord. Now his faith has been turned to sight.
