Obituary:

Mrs. Marilyn Jones York, age 77, of Bracey, died Monday, August 19, 2019 in St. Mary’s Hospital, Richmond, surrounded by her family. She was a former Department Manager for Walmart in South Hill and the widow of Arbuth Richard “Dick” York.
Mrs. York is survived by her three daughters; Susan York of Ebony, Kathi Clements (George) of Pigeon Forge, TN. and Andrea Banes (Marvin, Sr.) of Baskerville, three grandsons; Josh Wright ( Brittany), Thomas Wright and Christopher Thompson, two great grandsons Landon Banes and Brayden Fisher and her best friend, Connie Ittner. Marilyn was predeceased by a daughter Donna Helms.
A funeral service will be conducted Saturday, August 24, 2019 at 3:00 P.M. in Lake Gaston Christian Life Center, Ebony, VA. The family will receive friends Saturday from 2:00 until the hour of service at the church. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Lake Gaston Christian Life Center, P. O.
