Obituary:

Mr. Wilson Augustus Williams, age 74, of Kenbridge, died Monday, September 23, 2019. He was a Vietnam Army Veteran and a singer with the Platters. Mr. Williams is survived by his wife, Regina B. Williams of Kenbridge; his daughter, Crystal Williams of Chesapeake; his three sons: Nathan Shafer of North Port, Florida, Jason Shafer of North Port, Florida and Ernest Shafer of Rossford, Ohio; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and a host of loving brothers and sisters. A celebration of life service will take place in Lee’s Chapel AME Church located at 1036 Bells Mill Road, Chesapeake, VA 23322 on Friday September 27th at 12 noon. A private interment will take place in the Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia with full American Legion Post 79 Military Honors. Memorial contributions may be made to the Victoria Volunteer Fire Department at P.O. Box 1419, Victoria, VA 23974. Online condolences may be sent through our website, www.crowderhitecrews.com.
