Obituary:

Mrs. Mamie Jones Baird, age 88, of Gasburg, died Tuesday March 10, 2020. She was a homemaker and the widow of Alton Jefferson Baird. Mrs. Baird is survived by her brother, Lloyd Wall of Gasburg; her niece, Sandra Stephenson of Roanoke Rapids, NC; her nephew, Michael Wall and his wife Stacy of Gasburg; her two great-nieces: Lauren Stephenson and Meredith Stephenson and her two great-nephews: Tyler Wall and Cameron Wall. A graveside funeral service will be conducted on Friday March 13th at 2:00 P.M. in Canaan Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 in Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home and Crematory. The family wishes to thank a special caregiver, Myieshae and the entire staff of Envoy of Lawrenceville for the loving care they provided for Mrs. Baird.
