Mr. Charlie Harvey Owen, age 74, of Brodnax, died Saturday May 9, 2020 in his home surrounded by his family. He was a retired cross-country truck driver. Mr. Owen is survived by his wife, Barbara H. Owen of Brodnax; his daughter, Stephanie Sears and her husband Michael of Shacklefords, VA; his two grandchildren: Ricky Lee Powell, Jr. of Hollywood, CA and Brandon Lee Powell and his wife Stacey of Lawrenceville and his great-grandson, Cameron Matthew Powell. The immediate family will be present in the funeral home on Sunday May 10th from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. for friends who wish to express their condolences. Due to covid-19 restrictions this will be limited to ten people at any one time and any who come are requested to wear a mask. A memorial service will be held at a later date in the Southside Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Mr. Owen’s name may be made to the Southside Baptist Church at P.O.
