Obituary:

JoAnn Cage, age 72, of South Hill, died on Friday July 10, 2020 in her home. She was a retired employee of Southside Virginia Community College where she served as a grant coordinator and as a liason to community businesses in order to fine tune the curriculum to meet the needs of the area. Prior to her career at SVCC she worked for the former Richmond Medical Supply as a contracts coordinator, Aladan in Georgia and a large technical business located in New Hampshire. JoAnn was a graduate of Park View High School, received her B.S. degree from Longwood University and received her M.B.A. from the University of New Hampshire. JoAnn is survived by her brother, R.B. Cage, Jr. of Reno, Nevada. A Celebration of JoAnn’s life will be held on Saturday July 18th at 2:00 P.M. in Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home and Crematory. Private interment will take place in Crestview Memorial Park. Online condolences may be sent through our website, www.crowderhitecrews.com.     I am so sorry to find out the news about JoAnn. I enjoyed working with her at the community college. She was such a bright, knowledgeable and capable person as well as an outstanding co-worker.
